Entrepreneur-in-Residence / Business Director, Oncology

Patients travel for hours and across state lines for this care. As a result, they can experience a wealth of measurable benefits and improvements, sometimes in mere weeks.

Your opportunity is to support us in honing and fortifying every element of our offering in service of ever-greater scale, bringing our unique blend of care and healing to far more people, and impacting countless others. 

Reporting to the CEO (and fmr. Sequoia-backed Co-founder) and working with Dr. Lucas Tims, ND, FABNO, our Head of Clinical Oncology, you'd own global supply sourcing, the end-to-end experience, our overall growth and partnership strategy, the P&L, and all other operations. 

Our shared goal is to scale the program to ten times its current size and beyond while measurably improving quality of care, humanity of experience, and patient outcomes.

You're probably a former founder or early-stage startup veteran who's grown tired of the hype that comes with big “vision” and big fundraising, but with lacking proof points, profitability, and Product/Market Fit. 

Root Causes is different. We're building from solid, profitable business fundamentals and Product/Market Fit with the goal of forever relegating cancer to the exceedingly rare condition it once was. In two generations, we see a world where children grow up only reading about cancer in history books. 

Root Causes also treats and plans to scale offerings related to other chronic conditions that are inadequately addressed by the Standard/Acute Care Model, alone.

All of this is part of our larger ambition: the total reinvention of medicine.

The Mission

Support us in treating ten times as many cancer patients as we do today within 3-6 months, with improving operational effectiveness and outcomes as we grow. Then help us 10X again, and again, and again.

What You'll Own

You'll own all things business, operations, and growth at Root Causes Oncology, reporting directly to the CEO — so our head of clinical oncology can stay focused on the medicine. Responsibilities include:

• The patient journey. You'll own all operations in support of the patient journey — from sourcing our proprietary supplies, to the onboarding funnel, to capturing inspiring testimonials, all while protecting and nourishing that feeling of deep care that's crucial to success.
• The growth engine. The referral relationships and outreach that bring the right patients to our door, including from existing networks and communities already in search of what we offer, to the creation of our own network of relationships. 
• The path to scale. The unit economics and the operating plan that let us grow while enhancing what patients value most.
• And all other things business / operations related
